The Wheels 2 Learn scheme is a moped loan scheme for young people aged 16 plus who are continuing in further education and are unable to access their school or college using public transport. The scheme is being administered by the East Surrey Rural Transport Partnership on behalf of the SSTP and the mopeds themselves are being supplied by P & H Motorcycles. To be eligible for the scheme you must be a resident in the administrative area of Surrey that is comprised of the following boroughs/districts:
The loan of the moped will usually be for an academic year but this may be extended in exceptional circumstances. The scheme will provide all riders with free:
Students will also be required to undertake a free one-day ‘Compulsory Basic Training’ (CBT) course before being allowed to take the moped on the road.
